St. Tammany SALT Council Partners with Council On Aging St. Tammany (COAST) to survey the needs of Senior Adults in St. Tammany Parish.

COAST needs your help!
Every four years COAST submits a report that includes a survey of the needs of the Senior Adults in the parish.  This is a mandatory report that is vital to the continuation of services for Seniors in the parish.

Recent circumstances resulted in a failure to start this process, and the discovery that the survey had not yet taken place has caused a significant problem for COAST because the draft of the report, including the survey, should have been submitted August 1st.  COAST has been granted a 30-day extension, but it is critical that Senior Adults and agencies and organizations who serve them complete the respective surveys and submit them to COAST no later than August 25th - sooner if possible.

To assist COAST, the SALT Council will be taking surveys to the public to get them completed on paper, but if electronic versions can be completed it will help COAST compile the data more quickly.  Both surveys are available now on this web site so you are encouraged to download the surveys, complete them as soon as possible and submit them to COAST by following the instructions on the surveys.  The surveys should not take more than 5-10 minutes to complete.  For more information contact Council On Aging St. Tammany at 985-892-0377.
