About Us –
The St. Tammany SALT Council was formed in 2002 and incorporated with non-profit status in 2007. The council is a non-profit Louisiana corporation that has received non-profit approval under IRS 501c3.
The mission of the council is to work with public safety agencies to improve the safety and security of senior adults residing in St. Tammany parish, Louisiana. This mission has led to highly effective elder abuse advocacy through public information programs and training for professionals.
There is no board of directors, no office and no paid staff. All the decisions are made by the volunteers and they do all the work to make the organization a success. Officers are elected for two-year over-lapping terms. The current officers are:
